Precautions for use and maintenance of solar deep well water pumps
- Installation precautions
Well body requirements
Make sure that the well depth and well diameter match the pump model. The pump should be completely immersed in the water (at least 3 meters below the dynamic water level, and the pump should be more than 1 meter away from the muddy sand bottom).
The water quality must be clean, without mud, corrosive substances or excessive impurities, otherwise a filter device must be installed.
Water source and environmental requirements
The water quality must meet the sand content ≤0.01%, pH value 6.5-8.5, and avoid ferromagnetic impurities or solid particles from entering the pump body.
The verticality deviation of the well pipe must be ≤20cm. Before lowering the pump, use equal-length logs to test the straightness of the well pipe to prevent the pump from getting stuck.
In high-cold areas, the pipeline must be buried below the frozen soil layer or a pressure relief valve must be installed to prevent freezing.
Electrical safety
All cable joints must be waterproofed (using waterproof tape or junction box).
The voltage/current parameters of the solar panel, controller, and water pump must match, and reverse connection of positive and negative poles is strictly prohibited.
- Precautions for use
Startup and operation
No idling without water is allowed, otherwise the motor will burn out. After the first startup or long-term disuse, make sure there is enough water in the well.
The system should be disconnected in thunderstorm weather to prevent lightning from damaging the controller or solar panels
- Maintenance precautions
Troubleshooting
If the pump makes abnormal noises, vibrates violently, or stops completely, turn off the power immediately and contact a professional for repair.
Do not disassemble the motor or controller by yourself, as this may invalidate the warranty.
Long-term out of service
Drain the water in the pump before storage to prevent freezing or rust.
Power on and run for a few minutes every 2 to 3 months (you can connect to a temporary power supply) to prevent component aging.
Prohibitions
❌It is strictly forbidden to operate the water pump directly without the controller.
❌It is strictly forbidden to use the water pump for non-clean water (such as sewage, seawater and other corrosive liquids).
❌It is forbidden to use the solar panel when it is damaged or the wiring is exposed.
❌Do not hit the pump body with hard objects or pull the cable
